Resumen : La literatura especializda de los últimos treinta años que hace referencia a la llamada industria "sin chimeneas" ergo el turismo, es rica y abundante. El tema ha sido abordado desde diferentes disciplinas y cada una de ellas refleja sus propias percepciones e intereses. Su complejidad y dibersidad se concentra en distintas manifestaciones que pueden ir desde las sociales a las ambientales (Brenner, 1999; Furió, 1996; Poria et al., 2003; Vera et al., 1997). Por ejemplo, los economistas se centran el las implicaciones financieras del gasto turístico, demanda, marketing, planificación y desarroollo. Estos estudios enfatizan el aspecto mercantil, pasando la figura del turista en ocasiones a un segundo término.
Descripción : The specialized literature of the last thirty years that refers to the so-called industry "without chimneys" ergo tourism, is rich and abundant. The subject has been approached from different disciplines and each of them reflects their own perceptions and interests. Its complexity and diversity is concentrated in different manifestations that can range from social to environmental (Brenner, 1999, Furió, 1996, Poria et al., 2003, Vera et al., 1997). For example, economists focus on the financial implications of tourism spending, demand, marketing, planning and development. These studies emphasize the mercantile aspect, passing the figure of the tourist sometimes to a second term.
