Resumen : Adolescentes y jóvenes nayaritas son un grupo susceptible de alto riesgo al suicidio. En México, el grupo etario de 15 a 29 años presenta la mayor incidencia de suicidios consumados (Borges, Orozco, Benjet, y Medina, 2010). Los suicidios en Nayarit en su nayoría se registran en este grupo de edad, siendo la tercer causa de muerte por agresiones con una prevalencia del 3.4% en hombres y el 2.2% en mujeres (INEGI, 2013b). El presente artículo tiene como propósito identificar y dar a conocer a la comunidad en general el probable perfil de riesgo al suicidio en el estado de Nayarit con el fin de detectar los factores de riesgo en amigos e incluso familiares cercanos que podrían incidir en conductas suicidas. Este trabajo es producto del análisis de los datos obtenidos y solo es un acercamiento a la construcción del perfil de riesgo suicida en el estado de Nayarit, al partir de la epidemiología registrada, aún falta más investigación y medios para obtener la información de forma nítida que pueda ser sujeto de objetividad y sustento de investigaciones ulteriores.
