Título : GENEALOGIA EN LA HISTORIOGRAFIA DE LA CIUDAD PRELIBERAL MEXICANA

Resumen : Desde la segunda mitad del siglo xx, la historia de las ciudades se nutrió de las ciencias sociales y humanidades. En su linaje epistémico se distinguen cinco tradiciones: alemana, francesa, anglosajona, nor-teamericana e italiana; identificables a partir del objeto de estudio, temática, postura epistémica y campo dis-ciplinar dominante. Las aportaciones de esta historio-grafía ocasionan una heterogeneidad y fragmentación que impide una interpretación integrada de los hechos urbanos que pretenden explicar.La investigación sobre historia urbana de las ciudades decimonónicas mexicanas se desarrolla bajo tres carac-terísticas. La primera, por la utilización acrítica de ele-mentos, en conjunto o aislados, de las cinco tradiciones, impidiendo la construcción de una teoría y metodolo-gía. La segunda, la ciudad es vista como objeto y no como sujeto de su historia, por lo que los avances teó-ricos y metodológicos se han dirigido a explicar fenó-menos de urbanización. Y la tercera, que se construye con tres tipos de sesgo: hegemónico, ya que la produc-ción converge hacia las ciudades capitales de mayor centralidad; temporal, al abocarse en el periodo porfi-riano y; unívoco, considerando como homogéneos los procesos urbanos del resto del país.Desde una posición hermenéutica historicista se descri-ben y reflexionan las definiciones, métodos y diversos cruces epistémicos que estas tradiciones historiográfi-cas han utilizado para entender la historia de la ciudad decimonónica. Se identificarán los alcances e influencias que estos enfoques han tenido en la construcción de la historia urbana de las ciudades del México preliberal.
Descripción : Since the latter half of the 20th century, the history of cities, had to nurture from Social Science and Humanities. In its epistemic lineage, one can distinguish five traditions: German, French, Anglo-Saxon, North American, and Italian; only identifiable depending on object of study, thematic, epistemic pos-ture, and the dominant field. The contribution of this rich historiography has caused a heterogeneity and fragmentation that impedes an integral interpretation of those urban events being explained.The investigation of urban history of Mexican cities from the 19th century is developed under three charac-teristics. First, the non-critical use of elements, along with or severed from, the five traditions, preventing the construction of proper theory and methodology. Second, the city is seen as an object and not as a subject of its own history, making all the theoretical and methodological advancement to focus primarily in explaining the phenomenon of urbanization. Third, that is built with three types of bias: hegemonic, as the production converges essentially towards those capital cities with more centrality; temporal, by focu-sing primarily on the Porfirian period and; univocal, considering the urban processes as homogenous for the rest of the century. From a historicist hermeneutics position is to describe and reflect the definitions, methods, and diverse epistemic crossovers that these historiographical traditions have used to understand the history of city from the 19th century. Specifically, it seeks to identify the possible scope and influence these approaches have had in the construction of urban history of the pre-liberal Mexican cities.
