I couldn't go one step further because, besides being stunned by the use of the expression with which Simone de Beauvoir cimbró Western philosophy, I wondered who owned the phrase, if they would have paid royalties or something like that. I thought that feminists should be outraged by the commercial use of the expression or, perhaps, establish an association that would take care of what uses would be given to it, who would have the right to use it, in what contexts, and so on. All in all, in Mexico we had just witnessed the decision of the Federal Electoral Institute (ife) on the use of the term "legitimate president.es_ES

No pude dar un paso más porque, además de que quedé estupefacta por el uso de la expresión con que Simone de Beauvoir cimbró la filosofía occidental, me pregunté quién era dueña de la frase, si se habrían pagado derechos de autor o algo por el estilo. Pensé que las feministas deberíamos indignarnos por el uso comercial de la expresión o, tal vez, establecer una asociación que cuidara qué usos se le darían, quién tendría derecho a utilizarla, en qué contextos, etc. Total, en México acabábamos de ser testigos de la decisión del Instituto Federal Electoral (ife), sobre el uso del término" presidente legítimo".es_ES
