Resumen : Se estudió a la pesca de escama marina del estado de Nayarit, haciendo énfasis en la pesquería de la sierra Scomberomorus sierra, (Jordán y Starks, 1895) con el fin de caracterizar a las actividades y estudiar el efecto que el tamaño de malla, el diámetro del hilo, el encabalgado y la relación d/a combinada con el encabalgado de redes de enmalle sierreras tienen sobre la selectividad del recurso objetivo y la fauna acompañante (FAG) del recurso escama, con el fin de obtener evidencias que permitan mejorar el manejo del recurso objetivo, determinar el impacto de las redes sobre las especies de escama y precisar la información sobre la distribución de zonas de pesca, tecnología pesquera y aspectos económicos más importantes de la pesca marina de escama en Nayarit y con ello determinar su importancia en las comunidades costeras.
Descripción : The marine scale fishing of the state of Nayarit was studied, with emphasis on the Sierra Scomberomorus sierra fishery (Jordán and Starks, 1895) in order to characterize the activities and study the effect that mesh size, diameter of the wire, the overhang and the ratio d / a combined with the overhang of gillnets have the selectivity of the target resource and the accompanying fauna (FAG) of the resource flake, in order to obtain evidence to improve management of the objective resource, to determine the impact of the networks on the species of scale and to specify the information on the distribution of fishing zones, fishing technology and more important economic aspects of the marine scale fishing in Nayarit and with this to determine its importance in the coastal communities.
