dc.descriptionIn view of the lack of information regarding Temporomandibular Disorders Syndrome (TTM), a study was carried out with the objective of: determining the prevalence of the temporomandibular disorders syndrome of the restorative dentistry clinic of the Autonomous University of Yucatan. The subjects were volunteers who agreed to participate in the study. The clinical examination was done according to Dawson. It was established that the TTM can be presented throughout life. Other investigations were found that indicated that the prevalence was close to 46 to 47% among the adult population.es_ES
dc.description.abstractAnte la falta de información respecto al Síndrome de Trastornos Temporomandibulares (TTM), se realizó un estudio con el objetivo de: determinar la prevalencia del síndrome de trastornos temporomandibulares de la clínica de odontología restauradora de la Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán. Los sujetos fueron voluntarios que aceptaron participar en el estudio. La exploración clínica se hizo de acuerdo con Dawson. Se estableció que los TTM pueden presentarse a lo largo de la vida. Se encontraron otras investigaciones que apuntaban a que la prevalencia estaba cerca del 46 al 47% entre la población adulta.es_ES
