Resumen : Para el primer objetivo especifico se estimaron las reservas de carbón orgánico en suelos (COS) bajo nueve grupos de cobertura de la subcuenca del río Mololoa (618 km2) en el estado de Nayarit (México), se establecieron 27 sitios y en cada uno se colectaron muestras de suelo de 0 a 30 cm de profundidad con tres repeticiones por sitio. Se determinó la densidad aparente y el porcentaje de carbono orgánico del suelo y se calculó el carbono acumulado en la profundidad de muestreo. Existen diferencias significativas en el carbono almacenado en suelos con diversas coberturas vegetales. El contenido de COS fue mayor en los suelos bajo bosque de encino, con un valor medio de 140.49 t ha-', seguido de los suelos bajo pastizales con 99.03 t ha-', y de los suelo bajo vegetación secundaria con 93.30 t ha-'; estos dos últimos fueron estadísticamente iguales.
Descripción : For the first specific objective, the reserves of organic carbon in soils (COS) were estimated under nine groups of coverage of the sub-basin of the Mololoa River (618 km2) in the state of Nayarit (Mexico), 27 sites were established and in each They collected soil samples from 0 to 30 cm deep with three replications per site. The apparent density and the percentage of organic carbon in the soil were determined and the carbon accumulated in the sampling depth was calculated. There are significant differences in the carbon stored in soils with different vegetation cover. The SOC content was higher in soils under oak forest, with an average value of 140.49 t ha- ', followed by soils under pastureland with 99.03 t ha-', and of the soils under secondary vegetation with 93.30 t ha- ' '; these last two were statistically equal.
